The Victorian Speedcar Driver Association warmly welcomes for his rookie season a third generation Speedcar driver Caleb Mills.
Caleb who is the son of Travis “Squizzy” Mills, a two time Victorian Speedcar Champion & multiple other wins and Kate Mills, the daughter of another Vic. Champion Wayne Pearce and he is also the grandson of the celebrated John Mills another dual Vic. Champion who will be driving the V13 Pearce / V8 Rover combination in his debut season.
If his bloodlines & family history ring true it could be said that Caleb is “bred in the purple” good enough to win the Melbourne Cup.
He has been in and around speedway & particularly speedcars since he was a wee baby, attending his first meeting at only 3 weeks old, travelling all over Australia with his family to various meetings.
Caleb has eaten, breathed and slept Speedcar racing from the moment he was born so hopefully knows the sport back to front.
Caleb begun racing quarter midgets at the age of 10 in a car purchased for him, his twin brother AJ and cousin Zoe by their pops Wayne Pearce and Fly Lewis.
Later, all three kids decided they wanted a car each Wayne and Fly built Caleb his very own Pearce Chassis quarter midget with customised "Swindell Tank" as requested by Caleb.
A few seasons racing in quarter midgets saw him working on developing & honing his skills under the guidance of his dad, mum & both grand pa’s just for the time when he was old enough and was ready to pilot a midget for real.
He is a third generation racer for both the Mills and Pearce families and has been on the spanners crewing for Squizzy and Uncle Andy and learning everything he could since he was 8.
He has won numerous quarter midget races including the Lucas Oil Nationals, Loudy Memorial and Skip's Race.
He is extremely excited for the next step in his speedway career and is grateful and proud that he will be undertaking his very first season driving for his pop.
